Dr. Julian Wong

Dr Julian Wong has practiced medicine for more than 30 years, of which more than 20 years as a consultant surgeon.

Dr Wong is a former appointed consultant and senior consultant surgeon at the NHS in UK and National University Hospital (NUH) respectively. He served as NUH’s Head of Division of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery. He was also Director of the National University Heart Centre Singapore Aortic Centre.

At present, Dr Wong is one of the court of examiners for both the Royal College of Surgeons of England and Edinburgh. Locally, he is the chief examiner for the Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons and chairman of the Master of Medicine in General Surgery, and a Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons’ examiner.

Dr. Tang Tjun Yip

Clinical Expertise:

  • Diabetic foot wound salvage and ulcer healing
  • Superficial and Deep endovenous surgery (for varicose veins, venous leg ulcers, swollen legs, deep vein thrombosis)
  • Access solutions for dialysis-dependent end-stage kidney disease patients (Arterio-venous fistula (AVF) and arterio-venous graft (AVG) creation and Tenckhoff peritoneal catheter)
  • Peripheral artery disease management (lower limb revascularization
    procedures such as lower limb angioplasty (ballooning), stenting, surgical bypass and artery widening operations for leg artery blockages)

Dr Tang Tjun Yip is an accomplished Vascular and General Surgeon, having
performed more than 500 vascular operations every year for the past 12 years.

Dr Tang is a former Senior Consultant at Singapore General Hospital’s (SGH) department of vascular surgery. He helped establish the vascular service at Sengkang General Hospital and co-founded the Society of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery of Singapore.

Also an accomplished researcher, Dr Tang has written or co-authored 300+
peer-reviewed publications and has 10 book chapters and 5 books to his name. He was appointed Research Director of the SingHealth Duke-NUS Vascular Centre.

Dr Leong served as the Head of the Division of Vascular Surgery and Deputy Head of the Department of Surgery at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital (KTPH). He founded the hospital’s vascular surgery unit and played a key role in its growth into a comprehensive department providing advanced treatment for complex vascular conditions.

He specialises in treating complex aortic pathologies, peripheral vascular disease, diabetic foot ulcers, limb salvage surgeries, vascular access for dialysis, venous disorders such as varicose veins and deep venous thrombosis, and carotid disease.

Dr Leong graduated from McGill University in Montreal, Canada, and completed his general surgery training and vascular surgery fellowship at North Shore University Hospital in New York, USA. He is double board-certified by the American Board of Surgery in general and vascular surgery and is a founding member of the Singapore Society of Vascular and Endovascular Surgeons.
